Filtered water means no plastic bottles - ever!
The tiny NSW Southern Highlands town of Bundanoon recently made a big media splash when it announced residents had voted to ban the sale of plastic bottled water. Instead, the town has installed Chilled Filtered Water "refill stations" where residents and visitors can refill their own bottles.
Zip representatives have offered their support for this important decision - a decision which validates an argument the team at Zip has been making for over a decade - namely that plastic bottled water is expensive, environmentally disastrous and completely unnecessary where filtered tap water is available!
"I've always considered bottled water to be an unnecessary extravagance and an utter indulgence" a resident was quoted as saying, shortly after the historic town meeting and subsequent vote.
